Panels to Include Visionaries Representing the Entire Wireless Ecosystem

WASHINGTON, D.C. September 11, 2007 – CTIA WIRELESS I.T. & Entertainment 2007® has announced the sessions and speaker lineup for the industry's largest mobile data conference, which takes place October 23-25 in San Francisco at the Moscone Center, South Hall. Featuring a mix of enterprise, entertainment and Mobile Data 2.0 sessions, the conference program addresses the most important issues facing the wireless industry today. The 120 speakers comprising the panels for this year's educational sessions were selected from a pool of more than 700 applicants from companies throughout the mobile industry.

New to CTIA’s educational sessions is a track dedicated to the burgeoning Mobile Data 2.0 space, reflecting the next generation of Internet and mobile data integration. This track will examine new innovations in mobile commerce, mobile messaging and location-based services, with an emphasis on the cross-industry coordination needed to drive adoption of mobile goods and services.

“Every year we are reaching new heights in mobile adoption and this year is no exception,” said Robert Mesirow, vice president of business operations and show director for CTIA WIRELESS I.T. & Entertainment®. “The CTIA Educational sessions are where some of the most innovative approaches to wireless integration are revealed and strategic partnerships are born - anyone looking to expand on their mobile strategy needs to be in attendance.”

The Enterprise conference track kicks off with "Enterprise Applications: What Can IT Managers Implement Today to Mobilize the Enterprise Workforce?” on Tuesday, October 23, from 1:00 p.m. to 2:15 p.m. The session features executives from wireless carriers AT&T Mobility, Sprint and Verizon Wireless; as well as Research in Motion, makers of the Blackberry, and Microsoft’s enterprise software division. Session moderator Chris Isaac, a partner at PriceWaterhouse Coopers, will lead the executives in a discussion of the processes needed to successfully plan and implement wireless capabilities into corporate IT strategies.

The Mobile Entertainment Track returns to CTIA this fall with a mini-conference that combines the mobile content and carrier panels. Executives from the top five U.S. wireless carriers will share their viewpoints on issues related to mobile content sales and adoption. Immediately following, a panel of content executives from CBS, Fox, ABC, MTV and Warner Music will ignite a discussion on their successes, challenges and future plans for bringing more music and video content to the mobile medium.
